Considering the HCG Drops Diet?

If you are considering the HCG drops diet plan, then there are many things that you should take into consideration as well as do before you begin. The first thing that you should probably do is visit your doctor to ensure there are no serious health risks for you upon beginning this diet. Since it is a low calorie diet your doctor may want to inform you of any special issues that may crop up while getting on this diet. You can also discuss other factors with your doctor that may bring you discomfort or concern.
Caloric Intake and Foods
When taking HCG drops for your diet you will need to keep in mind that you will be on an incredibly low calorie diet and that there are only a few foods that you can eat. If you are either vegan or a vegetarian, then this diet is not for you as the requirements to help you reach the caloric intake levels for the diet can be extremely difficult due to the lack of meat in your current lifestyle. However, when on the HCG diet you will only be able to eat a total of 500 calories a day. Meals will be highly restricted to 1 protein, 1 vegetable, 1 fruit, and 1 bread for lunch and the same for dinner. While you are welcome to as much coffee, tea, and water that you wish to drink, you will only be allowed 1 tablespoon of milk a day and you may need to take vitamin supplements to continue receiving the nutritional requirements that you need.
Meal Preparation and Specific Foods
When it comes to preparing meals on the HCG drops diet, you will be limited to either broiled or grilled foods, and as said before you will only get two meals per day as well. Each of the food groups also have restrictions such as no fatty meats as your protein like eel, tuna, or salmon. Vegetables that you can have include spinach, red radishes, fennel, onion, celery, cucumbers, tomatoes, green salad, and cabbage. The choices that you have for fruit include grapefruits, oranges, strawberries, and apples, and the bread is even easier with a choice of a breadstick or Melba toast. If you feel fine with these restrictions, then this diet may be just what you have been looking for to help you lose weight.
